The contribution of Edward Snowden for the peaceful world order by exposing U.S. surveillance programs, Some hidden conspiracies and forcing a new debate over security and privacy, lead him to the nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize Wednesday.
 Snorre Valen posted the nomination letter on a Norwegian site with a English version. Previously he was nominated for the "Time's Person Of the Year" award and managed to get the second spot. He currently lives in an undisclosed location in Russia under 1 Year assylum .

Years ago, before this NSA document leaks, Snowden was just a normal person. He used to work for "Booz Allen Hamilton", a defense consultancy making great money in one of the most beautiful places in the world- Hawaii. He's "what we'd normally call a geek."

 Then he went to join the Army to fight in Iraq war but failed to win any medals also a training accident resulted into breaking of his both legs. After leaving the army Snowden worked directly or through contractors, for the NSA and CIA and then back to the NSA as "System Administrator".        

According to Snowdens Leak National Security Agency's massive surveillance setup recorded 70.3 million calls made within France in a one month period also reportedly paid GCHQ (British Spy Agency) 100 million pounds over three years to spy on British phones for the NSA.

The "O Globo" has reported that the United States eavesdropped on phone calls and internet usage across the continent through Brazilian telecom companies and U.S. spy agencies in which the major targets were businesses and frequent foreign visitors. Next comes Mexico, Mostly related to drug trafficking but government and business leaders also have been targeted. NSA also spied on China as well as India.

If Snowden wins The Nobel Peace Prize he would be the youngest Nobel Peace Laureate in the history of the prize also He would join the ranks of popular Nobel Peace laureates such as Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa.
